Dendrasia

Dendrasia (Pron. Den-dray-see-a) properly refers to the human-held islands that lie between the Endless Sea and the inhospitable deserts and swampland of Kolanthia, but use of the name often also refers those islands ruled by dwarves, elves, and other races.

Dendrans were once a united and glorious people, but those days are long gone. They still share a common language, culture and religion, but much of Dendrasia is now under the rulership of one or other of The Eight, a very loose allaince of powerful wizards whose predecessors once delivered Dendrasia from the domination of an evil leviathan of the ocean and assumed group rulership of the islands. Some people prosper under their lord and some suffer, some islands trade with one another and some do battle. Some islands are almost purely human, some share the land with other humanoids and some with terrible monsters.

Dendrasia is currently enjoying relative peace with it’s neighbors as well as internally, trade is booming between the islands and even the Lord High Necromancer has not had to quash a rebellion for a few years. Nevertheless adventure abounds, with piracy on the rise, rumours of a city found in the desert, and a Dwarven island mysteriously abandoned…
